Carpool Procedures

Early Release Pick-Up Times

12:00 pm(noon) for all grade levels

Follow the carpool procedures for a regular release outlined below.

Carpool Sign Order Form 

Please display your carpool sign with QR code in your window so a staff member can see it and scan the QR code. This will facilitate a safe and efficient carpool. To purchase additional carpool signs for $5.00 each, click HERE.

Morning Drop-Off

To facilitate the morning carpool, the 5th Grade Safety Patrol helps students exit their vehicles, collect their belongings, and enter the building. 

 

Kinder-8th drop off location: the School Garden Entrance (Spring Valley parking lot under the school wing awning). 

 

SJCS offers an Early Morning Drop off where you may drop off your child at 7:15 am for a small fee of $10 per month (unlimited early drop-off) ($5.00/month for each additional child).  This will be billed through FACTS at the beginning of the following month.  

Regular drop-off is from 7:30am until 8:00am. 

 

PreK-8th: After 8:00 am, you MUST park and walk your child(ren) into the office. Please use the Spring Valley parking lot and enter the building at our main school entrance (between the school building and the church building).

Afternoon Pick Up for All Students

 

Arrival and Line-Up

  • Do not arrive before 3:00 pm. Cars will not be granted early access to the parking lot.
  • At 3:00 pm, you may enter the school parking lot area.
  • Once inside, form a line in the driving lane starting in Lane 1, Lane 2, etc. (see map). Overflow will remain on Spring Valley Road until there is room to enter.

 

Carpool Sign and QR Code Scanning

  • Please display your Carpool Sign with the QR code clearly on the dashboard or driver's side window.
  • A staff member will scan the QR code, and this will alert your student(s) that you have arrived.

Pick-Up Process

  • At 3:15 pm, cars will begin moving from the parking lanes to the pick-up area as directed.
  • As you reach the pick-up area, your child will be sent out to meet your vehicle. Please stay in your vehicle at all times.
  • After loading:
    • 1st through 8th grade students turn left and exit to Spring Valley Rd (see map). 
    • Pre-K and Kindergarten turn right and park for Pre-K or drive to awning for Kindergarten. Exit by turning right on Jupiter. (see map)

No Carpool Sign?

If you do not have your carpool sign with the QR code:

  • You will drive through the carpool until you reach the pick-up area. 
  • When you reach the pick-up area, you will be directed to park.
  • Your student(s) will be called after the initial rush of carpool and those who have their signs have been loaded.

General Carpool Guidelines

 

  • No cell phone use during carpool.
  • Please listen to the staff for directions. Be courteous to staff and other adults and children at all times.
  • Everyone is in a hurry. Slow down. Carpool starts at 3:15 pm, students are dismissed at 3:20 pm and carpool will be completed by 3:45 pm (if everyone follows procedures and works together).
  • Follow the line of traffic as directed.
  • If you arrive 45 minutes early, you will not be permitted in the parking lot until 3:00 pm.
  • Remember, we are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord, and we are family. Be kind.
